Service Description

After an incredibly successful 1st summer, we are thrilled to bring back our LOTUS Intern Program for Summer 2026! Designed for teens interested in working with children (primarily K - 5th graders) in the area of arts education and production, this hybrid program will bridge the gap between camper and counselor and allow for a smoother transition for young teens into leadership roles. LOTUS Interns will have the opportunity to audition for and perform in the production just like every other camper. However, when they are not rehearsing for the show, they will spend their time assisting lead counselors/production staff in the areas of direction, choreography, musical direction, visual art, design, creative drama, and more. LOTUS Interns will be able to choose whether or not they wish to perform. If an individual wants to solely assist with the production/camp instruction, they are not required to perform as part of the show. The program is designed to give teens the opportunity to work HANDS-ON with younger artists in a warm, safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. It will give them a taste of what being a counselor is like, while still allowing them to perform and have fun alongside younger campers and friends! ​While we would prefer for LOTUS Interns to do a full session, we may be willing to have assistants for partial sessions. Please specify on your registration form which weeks you plan to attend/participate.
